## Connect SMB [#connect-smb]

In your client's MCP settings, add a remote server with this address:

## Common configuration [#common-configuration]

Many clients use a configuration shaped like this:

The exact name for `type` varies by client. Choose **Streamable HTTP**, **HTTP**, or **Remote server** in the client's setup screen.

## Access [#access]

During the BETA, your client must support SMB sign-in or the BETA access details shared with you. A successful connection does not grant access to private workspace information by itself.

## Check the connection [#check-the-connection]

Confirm that your client can list SMB tools.

If your client cannot connect, open **Ask SMB** from the top navigation and tell us which client you are using.
